First Day, Yom Kippur

October 5th, 2022 – 10:40am – The Streets of Haifa, Israel:

Today is Yom Kippur in Israel. The High Holy Day of the year. The day of atonement. It is the day that the high priest would enter the holy of Holies to make atonement for the sins of the people.

I left the hostel around 9am for a walk about the city. I walk and listened to God speak most of the walk. I walked north to the port and then west along the coast line down to past where Mt. Carmel touches the sea. God told me many things as I walked.

When I began to walk back to the hostel suddenly Jesus was walking next to me, so we began to chat. At one point in the conversation He asked me, “Are you willing to become bread in my hands? I will break you and will use you to feed multitudes.” I said, “Yes.” And in my heart I felt this would cost me everything more.

I still do not know what God has planned for me here in Haifa. I returned to the hostel around 11am and spent the rest of the day in conversations with the hostel staff and my new Russian friends. In all probably 10 people from 7 different countries all here in Haifa for different reasons. I enjoyed the conversations very much.

It was a simple day… a nice walk… making new friends. I’m not sure that it has hit me yet that I am in Israel once again.

I will need to raise something like $6000 for my living expenses for the next 3 months as Israel is very expensive. Please keep me in prayer and if you feel lead to give to what God is doing through me here you can give through my GoFundMe:
