Day 7 – Known And Unknown

December 30th, 2022 – 6:18pm – Mom’s House, Sherman, Texas, USA:

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.” – Psalms 32:8 AMP

Yesterday morning I set off on a walk across this town. As I walked I was thinking about how God would provide for me during this next season. It was warm outside and I was musing to myself at how I was wearing all I would own in just a week’s time. Suddenly on the ground in front of me on the side of the road lit by the dim street-lights of the early morning dark was a sealed package of Hawaiian Soft Rolls. I walked past them and laughed to myself. God whispered, “See, I can feed you whenever and wherever you happen to be.”

I would say that what we as humans fear most about serving God is the unknown… but we forget that serving God is not about the unknown but about the known. He is known and so what comes in our lives, while always unknown to us, is known to Him who we know.

There is a lot I do not know… but I do know Him, and so I can walk ahead obediently and trust that He is more than able to provide for me whenever and wherever I am.

He has been confirming His words to me near constantly during my time here in Dallas. Over and over again He tells me something and then it happens. I imagine He is preparing me for whatever is coming next… that unknown up ahead and out there. And if I’m honest… I am a little bit excited about seeing what He has planned next.
