The Ship And The Storm

In the midst of a vast sea a single ship sailed against the waves. Suddenly as if out of nowhere a huge storm bared down on that ship. All the sailors ran this way and that trying to hold that ship together. They were all terrified, death was sure. Then the captain remember a man who was sailing with them. He was a man of deep faith. So the captain of the ship called for this man to be brought to him.

“Pray and ask for mercy for us so we will not be torn apart by this storm.” The captain told the man of faith.

The man of faith smiled and replied, “Faith is not based in what is seen but what is unseen.” And with these words the man of faith walked to the side of the boat and reached down into the sea and pulled something up out of the water. It was a plug.

Suddenly to the amazement of all the sailors and the captain the sea became calm and the sky cleared. The ship twirled round and round as the water of that sea drained out. And suddenly the ship was sitting on dry ground in the middle of a vast sandy valley.
