This morning at 3:30am as I woke to begin to work on the books I’m currently writing, God asked me to write a post about His faithfulness. He explained that someone out there needed to hear a few of my testimonies of His faithfulness to me over the course of this journey He has called me on.
Six and half years ago God broke into the life I was living, well destroying, for myself and He rescued me. He pulled me up off the ground and said, “This is finished. Now you are going to listen and obey.” He wrapped His arms around me and has carried me along ever since by His power made perfect in my weakness.
He asked me to give away everything I owned and I obeyed. He provided. Not only did He provide for my physical needs but He transformed my inner self through those days without anything.
He took me to Iowa once… and as I walked along the roads in the heat of the afternoon I looked ahead of me and there on the ground was a banana and an large orange. Both were in perfect condition. Both tasted perfect. God provided an banana and an orange in the middle of nowhere for me.
Once as I climbed a mountain with Him with nothing to drink… He provided a sealed bottle of Orange Gatorade. I sat on a bench that He instructed me to sit on and there next to me on the ground was the bottle.
These two stories are not the only ones. This book series is filled with stories of His faithfulness as He has led me all over this country and around the world providing for my journey. I have had great abundance and I have had nothing to my name. Always, always, He has been faithful to me.
If God can provide for me, a video game designer who lived for myself for 20 years doing whatever I pleased, then surely He can provide for you as well.
He is faithful.
Always and eternally faithful.
This is my testimony.
This is my story.
God does not change.
He provides all we need in His timing and for His purposes.
Even today, as I am struggling with finances and my dental health, God has been faithful to provide one day at a time.
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His right-standing and all these things shall be added unto you as well.”
How tightly I hold to this promise. In pain, tired, lonely, I wake into each day and I bow before Him once again and seek to do what He has asked me to do… and somehow… 57 books have been written that point to Him.
And by His faithfulness to me alone will I complete the good work that He planned for me to accomplish long ago… this book series. Not by anything within me, but by His power and strength flowing through me.
Be encouraged! Ask Him for what you need and then wait for Him to provide it.
I have discovered that He is a God who loves to spoil His children.
