Book Description: “Power And Purity” is Part 40 of The Book Of Benjamin Kareth. Power is: “the ability to do”. Simple as that. Power is a word that describes the ability of people, angels, demons, or God to do, work, command, etc. Purity… the quality of excellence of a person or thing, freedom from adulteration or contamination, and freedom from immorality, especially of a sexual nature. The condition or quality of being pure; free from anything that debases, contaminates, pollutes, etc. This book is an exploration of Power And Purity as they relate to life serving the Living God.

Chapter 9: Inward Power

Inward power is such a funny title for a chapter to me. When God told me that this would be the title of a chapter in this book I think I actually laughed out loud.

Man has no inward ability… no spiritual power apart from what God gives and enables us to have and even that comes from Him and never from ourselves. Our spiritual power, our ability to do spiritual things, is not of ourselves at all… it flows from the Holy Spirit of God who is dwelling within us as followers of Jesus Christ. Andrew if we have spiritual power as an unbeliever then our spiritual power comes from demons and the like in the spiritual world.

We can take actions and say words… it’s true… but we are just a temple, a conduit of God’s power flowing through us out into the world.

Take my “power, my ability to do” to write these books. Certainly, that does not come from me at all. God is empowering me with the talent to write words as He leads. I am typing the words on my phone now, but it is God who is flowing through my fingers, and it is He that is going to enable these words to speak to your heart. I know who is writing these books and it certainly isn’t me but the Holy Spirit that is dwelling within me. Otherwise, these books would have no power, no ability to do, to change lives of people who read them.

That is just one example… the Word Of God is filled with examples. Always it is God’s Holy Spirit within a man or woman that causes things to happen from within them. The purity of our glass… our inner world… for God’s Holy Spirit to work through determines the output of His power into the world around us. But this is something that He must teach us as He leads us on in our walk with Him. We must experience it for ourselves to fully understand it. We can try and try on our own and find that nothing happens. God must do it through us, and it will be to accomplish His will on this earth and not our own.
